Amy Smart, an American model, actress and actor. She was born and raised in California USA she started her modelling profession in Italy. Her acting debut came in 1996, when she appeared in the TV production Her Costly Affair. From there to starring as a supporting character in the film Starship Troopers she struggled very difficult. Amy had a difficult time making the leap from modeling into acting since models are not usually considered to be actors of any kind. Models are often only given minor roles that aren't important. Amy had a determination to be successful and she eventually landed larger parts beginning with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. In 2005, she took on the lead role in the romantic comedy Just Friends with Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major commercial success, and Amy had finally found the recognition that she was seeking for more than a decade. Amy was in several big movies within the Crank trilogy opposite Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character on The Shameless series.
