Amy Smart has been a model, actress as well as a former American. Amy Smart was born and raised in California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her acting career started in 1996, when she was a character in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Then, as a supporting character in the feature film Starship Troopers she struggled very hard. It was difficult for her to transition into acting since models weren't considered an actor, so they typically were given less parts. Amy did not give up. She climbed the ladder to bigger roles. She began in The 70s series and Varsity Blues film. Amy then moved into leading roles in 2005's romance film Just Friends starring Ryan Reynolds. The film was a major box office success and Amy was finally able to get the recognition that she was trying for for more than a decade. Amy was in several big movies in the Crank trilogy with Jason Statham. And she had a part in a series of recurring roles on The Shameless series.
