Amy Smart was an American model and actress. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modeling career there. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film, was her first part. Her fight to secure an appearance in Starship Troopers, a film with mainly minor roles was a gruelling battle. This was not easy for Amy because she had transition from modelling to acting. Models aren't regarded as the best actors, so they usually get smaller, insignificant roles. Amy never gave up. Her first major role came in The 70s followed by Varsity Blues. The 2005 romantic comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her perform more prominent parts. Amy gained the recognition she'd been seeking for over 10 years, when her movie just Friends debuted. She continued with important films, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham and the series Shameless where she played the well-loved character of recurring.
