Anna Paquin (born Winnipeg, born in Wellington,) is a Canadian actor from Canada. Paquin was born in Winnipeg and was raised by Wellington Paquin's acting debut was as Flora McGrath. For this role she received the Academy Award of Best Supporting Actress in the romantic comedy The Piano at the young age of eleven. She is the second youngest recipient in Oscar History. Paquin appeared as Frankie Addams in a 1997 television movie adaptation of Carson McCullers' novel The Member of the Wedding as well as a small role in the role of Queen Spain in Steven Spielberg's Amistad (1997). She played teenage girls in of Hurlyburly (1998), She's All That (2000), A Walk on the Moon (2000) and played her polexia Aphrodisa groupie on the screen in Almost Famous (2000).
